Lug Von Siga has chosen Milan Fashion Week to present its creative universe, unveiling a Spring–Summer 2027 collection titled ‘Il Silenzio’. The womenswear brand, founded in 2010 in Istanbul by designer Gül Ağış, places the artisanal and cultural heritage of Anatolia at the heart of the international stage, reimagining it through a contemporary lens and forging a dialogue between memory, identity, and the present — between craft, a sensitivity to detail and, an aesthetic deeply rooted in its origins.

“Our turnover in 2025 was around €1 million. During the pandemic, we recorded significant growth, with rates reaching 70–100%. Since then, we have maintained a steadier pace of turnover growth of around 20–30% annually,” says Gül Ağış, who spent 10 years in Milan, studying and working, before returning to Istanbul to found Lug Von Siga. “However, 2025 was a difficult year for many companies globally, particularly due to the economic uncertainty created by conflicts in the Middle East. As a country geographically close to the region, Turkey was also affected by the broader economic and regional context. Despite these challenges, we have continued to invest in developing Lug Von Siga and in strengthening our international presence.”

Lug Von Siga’s principal markets by sales are, in order: the UK, the US, Italy, the rest of Europe, and the Middle East — regions where the Turkish label’s collections are stocked in nearly 80 high-end stores. Alongside efforts to consolidate its presence in these areas, the brand is simultaneously “preparing to enter the Asian market in 2027,” reveals Ağış, whose directly managed e-commerce “accounts for around 30% of our total turnover,” she explains. “The remaining sales come from our international wholesale network and our showroom.”

Opening single-brand boutiques forms part of Lug Von Siga’s long-term growth plan. “We’d like to start in Europe, with Milan or Southern Italy as a natural first step, given our connection to the city and its importance in our journey. From there, we hope to gradually expand our retail footprint through standalone boutiques or pop-up stores, whilst also exploring selected corners and shop-in-shops in key cities,” explains the brand’s designer and founder. “The aim is to create artistic spaces that reflect the world of Lug Von Siga and allow customers to experience the brand beyond the garments themselves.”

Meanwhile, the Anatolian label’s Spring–Summer 2027 collection, inspired by the spiritual and poetic universe of Rumi and Shams, contemplates love, desire, devotion, and the invisible bonds that exist beyond words — and, indeed, silence, conceived as a form of luxury. A recurring motif in Lug Von Siga’s collection is the handkerchief, rooted in an ancient Anatolian tradition. Exchanged between lovers at the moment of parting, it carries the memory of the beloved and the hope of reunion.

The colour palette ranges from white and off-white to delicate, translucent shades, creating a sense of lightness, purity, and tranquillity. Sheer and translucent fabrics — silk, georgette, and taffeta — are combined with technical materials, juxtaposing contrasting textures and sensibilities to articulate the dialogue between past and present, tradition and innovation. In the same vein, fluid fabrics meet more structured surfaces, whilst intricate handcrafted details punctuate the collection’s clean lines.
