He has wide experience in roles spanning brand strategy, marketing and consumer engagement for a broad range of companies including Nespresso, Samsung and Unilever.

The new GM has global expertise too, having worked in leadership roles across China and the UK, while also having a deep understanding of the South Korean market, and arrives from Nespresso South Korea where he most recently served as head of marketing.

He’ll now head the firm’s local business country leadership team and Dr Martens said the appointment “marks an important milestone by the company in a high-growth-potential market”. He’ll report to Mike Stopforth, the company’s chief commercial officer and will also join the Dr Martens’ leadership team, bringing market-specific expertise to an increasingly global top team.

Stopforth said he’s “a fantastic fit to lead our South Korean business as we build on already strong foundations in the market. South Korea is an exciting and strategically important market for Dr Martens, and Justin’s appointment reflects our commitment to investing in both our key markets and world-class talent across the organisation”.
