Protests on October 17: On the fringes of the marches, shops looted and vandalised in several cities across France
In Chambéry, Bordeaux, Lyon, Rennes and, of course, Paris, the peaceful demonstration gave way to groups of rioters and looters who targeted numerous businesses.
