Fifty million visitors in less than four years is a big number to celebrate. That’s the marker the famous Grade II-listed landmark Battersea Power Station has put down since the transformative shopping and entertainment destination’s opening back in October 2022.

“The milestone represents the remarkable transformation of Battersea Power Station from a building that stood empty for nearly four decades into one of London’s leading retail, leisure, cultural, residential and office destinations,” the owner/operator said.
To celebrate the occasion, there’s a host of events lined up that began Thursday (1 October) featuring prizes and offers from brands including Anthropologie, Heartcore, Lululemon, Lindex, and Moleskin.
Visitors were invited to take part in an interactive prize draw experience on the day, with lucky-dip prizes available and a grand prize draw for one winner.
As as major draw to the destination, events also include Apple Music Hall launching at Battersea Power Station this week with Elton John performing on the opening night.
Added will be a strong line-up of artists for the coming weeks including Baby Keem, Skye Newman Troye Sivan, Arlo Parks, Burna Boy, Chase & Status and Charli xcx.
As for the shopping centre, following the success of its existing store, Spain’s Mango is expanding its presence, moving into a larger unit and bringing Mango Man to the riverside neighbourhood.
It joins an established line-up that includes Zara, Uniqlo, ME+EM, Reformation, Space NK, Moleskine, Massimo Dutti, SpaceNK and WatchHouse.
It said that newness continues to help visitor numbers rise as the Power Station “will welcome another wave of new brands set to open before the end of the year,” bringing the total number of openings in 2026 to more than 20.
James Saunders, CEO of Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “The fact that millions of people now come here to shop, eat, work and live is testament to the extraordinary transformation that has taken place.
“The arrival of another wave of exciting brands reflects the continued confidence in Battersea Power Station and what we are creating here. These new openings will add even more to the breadth and quality of the experience, giving people new reasons to visit and return.”
He added: “This milestone is even more significant given we are only around halfway through delivering the wider masterplan.”
