Chanel to unveil cruise collection in Deauville

Chanel’s geographical reach continues to rechart the contours of its heritage through a travelling narrative closely tied to the places that shaped Gabrielle Chanel’s life. Following its recent stop in Biarritz, the maison on Rue Cambon has announced that it will present the Cruise 2027/28 collection on Tuesday, April 27, 2027 in Deauville.

The choice of the famous Normandy seaside resort is a genuine return to the roots of the legend. In 1912, buoyed by her early success as a milliner in Paris, Gabrielle Chanel chose Deauville to open a new boutique – the very one where, the following year, she began selling her first garments, marking the birth of the modern look.

The Normandy event will mark the second cruise show under Matthieu Blazy’s creative direction. A pivotal milestone underlined by Bruno Pavlovsky himself, president of fashion activities at Chanel: “It was in Deauville that Gabrielle Chanel presented her first fashion designs, marking a turning point in the maison’s history. We look forward to discovering Matthieu Blazy’s vision of this pivotal place through his second cruise collection.”
