It has been confirmed at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (Mimit) that a consortium is involved in a plan to relaunch the Aeffe Group — a leading player in the fashion and luxury sector headquartered in San Giovanni in Marignano (Rimini), and owner of historic brands such as Alberta Ferretti, Moschino, and Pollini — as part of the negotiated crisis-resolution procedure.
The consortium is set to include Invitalia, the Oxy Fund, an Italian industrial player, and a Chinese industrial partner, with the Ferretti family, the group’s current owner, ready to provide support. The Chinese partner would participate in the transaction with a minority stake and without governance rights, contributing industrial expertise and commercial reach to open up new opportunities in Asian markets, with a particular focus on China.
Valued at over €100 million, the proposal aims, through the acquisition of the entire business, to ensure the group’s industrial continuity, preserving its production base and employment, with the goal of safeguarding more than 700 jobs.
The project also focuses on enhancing the group’s historic brands and, as part of the transaction, on the possibility of granting the Chinese industrial partner an exclusive licence for the Moschino brand in the Chinese market, with the aim of strengthening its presence and further developing its commercial potential in the country.
According to the timetable agreed at the meeting, the investor’s proposal and the accompanying business plan will be presented in the first week of October. A further meeting at Mimit is scheduled for November 4.
